Wings
View of front wing, M151-A1. This particular model has the slave receptor (for jumpstarting the vehicle) and the European lighting kit fitted (the small rectangular light on the wing). Note that the the wing is straight.
View of front wing, M151-A2. Note the difference in the wing design. It now uses the larger composite lights, and the wing as been modified accordingly. This particular vehicle also has the European lighting kit fitted.
Grille
View of the front grille, M151-A1. Note the blackout lamps just under the headlamps. This model has the fittings for the cold-weather canvas around the edge of the grille.
View of the front grille, M151-A2. Note the blackout lamps are missing. This is because they are now included in the composite lights on the wing.
View of the front grille, M151-A2 (Canadian). This one has a metal brush-guard fitted.
Rear
View of the rear of an M151-A1. Note the round composite lights, the blackout light slightly above and to the right of the rear right composite light, and the red reflector above the left composite light.
View of the rear of an M151-A2. It has larger composite lights, so the rear has been modified accordingly to accomodate them. There is no blackout lamp, and no red reflector (not really visible in this picture).
Bumper
With bumpers, it is a slightly different story. They differ between services as opposed to models. This picture is of a bumper used on US Army vehicles....
... where as this is a picture of a bumper used on US Marine vehicles. Note the extra shackles on the end of a slightly longer bumper.
Windcreen
An M151-A1 windscreen. The windscreen glass comes in 2 parts, and the wipers come through the windscreen just under the glass. The wiper arms are quite small.
The M151-A2 windscreen has it's glass all in one large piece. The wipers come through much lower down, and have longer arms. This is to accomodate the mechanics associated with an eletrically driven wiper motor. The bump-stops at the top of the windscreen are now round as opposed to square(ish).
